FIREBALL
(2)
| ||
Acrylic Gouache on Board. Well, it was nice to get a chance to re-imagine an old card that in retrospect seemed rushed. The Fireball in the first set was one of the few pieces in my life that I did with acrylic paint exclusively. This time around, I used the more familiar acrylic gouache to get some of the same fiery effects, wanting to evoke the originals' wild energy. It was done in a Kamigawa-type setting, despite that it wasn't done for any of those sets. I like how it turned out, I don't get the opportunity to do many vertical pieces with CCG game-formats. |
